We oppose the fast-fashion throwaway culture and believe in timeless style instead of trends. Kiedo products are made in small batches in Finland from industrial deadstock leather and domestically sourced nordic deer leather. The products align with circular economy values, are made to last, and can be maintained and repaired for generations. Finnish craftsmanship is important to us – together with professionals, we create something valuable and durable.
Kiedo products have received the Key Flag symbol as a mark of Finnish manufacturing and employment. The wrap belts have also been approved by an independent expert panel and listed on the ostavastuullisesti.fi website as well as on Pirkanmaa’s KIERTO100 list of circular economy companies.
It all started with wrap belts. Kiedo wrap belts were born out of a need: it was difficult to find high-quality accessory belts, especially made from responsible materials and manufactured in Finland. The sizing options were also limited. The first Kiedo prototype was created in early 2019 in Tampere using an old leather jacket, and nowadays more and more people are inspired to refresh their existing wardrobe with a quality wrap belt.
The wrap belt designs are simple, minimalist, and timeless. It has been challenging to find a comfortable belt that suits us – Kiedo belts offer a wide range of sizes and a stepless adjustable model, providing almost unlimited possibilities for belt use. You can also order a belt custom-made to your measurements. Some customers have received their first-ever belt through us.

In 2023, our selection expanded, and I was able to design the long-dreamed Finnish leather jacket. The Kiedo Ainoa leather jacket is made from domestic reindeer leather and is refined down to the last detail. The jacket can be customized, as we make it to order – this way, the customer gets a leather jacket that fits their measurements and we avoid careless use of valuable materials.
In 2024, our selection expanded with bags, as the various organizers and covers made from surplus leather the previous year had led customers to request practical, Finnish-made bags. Our Pirkko bag has been very popular because customers design it themselves: choose the colors, metal parts, straps you like, and you will surely get a bag that suits and pleases you.
At the end of 2024, we opened our first store on Tampere’s downtown "boutique street," right near Laukontori on Aleksis Kivi Street.
